Chapter 3-1

The party makes their way Southwest for their next journey. The ship cannot dock without water as none of the docks are capable of holding a ship this size. The party is only able to land the ship on the water.

Every stop, more people came by and used the services of the ship - The ship is able to make money and start to help accommodate the cost of living. A lot of time passes and different members of the crew fixes it all up - The ship is clean, there are a lot of repairs made and more accessible. Jasiri disappeared for a week. The Havyn is made - Medical Bay - there is an operating table, potion table, medical supplies. All supplies are available for purchase and to be used if in need.

[After Two Weeks] The Crew starts to meet at the mess hall why Kazim starts to make an awful breakfast. Apparently the rock gruel - is a mother’s recipe. The rocks give it a certain spice.

Jasiri joins him to help prevent the horrible breakfast being prepared. The Kitchen is now a perfectly cleaned space, new appliances and Jasiri was able to fix the bread drawer. Jasiri asked Bronus to look after Tobias during the two weeks. Tobias seems to be getting a little better not being alone as much as he was before.

Leny - a new member of the crew - looks at the gruel provided to him from Kazim and thanks Jasiri for helping to this extent.

[In the Morning] Torren - is eating breakfast and putting on a face that the food is great.

Excalibur - He’s here because he knows it’s required of him to be here.

Schmead - Sits by himself and takes a spoonful of the breakfast porridge - When he bites something he unfortunately takes piercing damage - he will take the chef feat. He spends part of the morning learning different skills in the kitchen.

Hazel - Makes a small talisman to represent her coven to add to his collection. She wants to thank him and hopes maybe this can protect him in the future.

[NOVA calls the main party to the bridge.] The party gets a chance to see the Havyn and the new Library - William is found in this room trying to learn what he can in the meantime. One of the rooms passed by, they spotted Octavian who waves to the party. They finally find Hilda who asked for them to join her.

Hilda thanks the party for their contributions to the ship. She also thanks Excalibur and Torren for helping with NOVA.

She also informs them of where the party is going next. Hermann is working on a few projects at the moment and he needs some parts. Excalibur takes the list required for Hermann’s parts - there are members on the ship who will have them.

The party sees Octavian first - He pulls out a large box. Stabilizer crystals. Octavian has stumbled across a few things through chatting with customers that he doesn’t need. He often resells them but as the party is friends, he’d like to offer a sale - at a discount. Octavian is capable of making clothes for the party if they need it. * Hazel requests a new tea set Schmead requests new clothes considering he only wears old rags. Excalibur requests a portal painting aisle and paints Torren wants to sell his spell scrolls in the future He reveals an arcane chessboard, quill with a red feather will write whatever you say without you writing, and boots of springing and striding. Jasiri buys the chess board for Tobias. Excalibur, Hazel, and Jasiri all pitch in to help Schmead afford the boots. Hazel and Jasiri help Torren with buying the quill. Jasiri is asked to stay back - Octavian asks if he’s done anything to offend him. The people he meets with his kind of charisma are a little bit too conniving. He doesn’t want Octavian to skimp the party or crew on anything. Octavian tells him he puts on a face due to the clientele he has to interact with. Nothing in the room is secondhand and is not as grandiose as he looks. He has an appearance to keep up. Jasiri comments saying they are a little more alike than he thought. The party goes to see Muldra - She’s going through various crates and boxes as she’s taking inventory. Torren and Muldra have a nice greeting between each other. Torren offers to help her with inventory in the future with his new quill if she needs it. She walks the group over to a few boxes that contain different tools and parts. Muldra informs the party she has basic general supplies and will act as a general store for the ship. (Anything in the book minus 20%) The party goes to meet Ergan in the engine bay which is extremely warm here. He’s giving the party a few engine mounts as per Hermann’s part request. Ergan informs the party he can provide the party with blacksmithing services if they ever need it.

The party finally goes to see William who is in his father’s lab. The lab is cleaner and organized now than it was originally. Everything is in pristine condition. William is at a table sitting on a stool and tightening a screw on a small piece of equipment. He slides the small device towards the party - engine component. Carburetor? Hazel offers him “Wild Vines” as a book to read on his personal time. She also offers to provide a few of the books left by Lavender to the library too.

Hermann is surrounded by a swarm of Kobolds. He is teaching them how magnets work when the party finds them. They are all so excited to learn from him and start to come up with ideas. Hermann is teaching them and they are quick studies so they will be useful in the future. He is creating a small airship that will allow the party to go to land - It can hold the party along with two other individuals. It’s very similar to the life raft the party used in Port Revelry. Hermann is able to make magical items - He is working within the limits of physics, cost, and time. (He’s able to enchant items - Anything available to an artificer along with a few extras) The Crows all have spring boots - Same boots Schmead has.

[Next Mission] Working out a deal to obtain a new part in a sales deal. Considering this is not a docked city, the party will go ahead in the meantime. The party is going to Old Crest - The body Gigas is adjacent to this city, lying in a canon made by a sword. Main mission: Obtaining a bone from the titan, Gigas > OLD CREST TO THE COAST - Need to find something big enough to bring it there then bring it from the shore to the ship. Old Crest is a tourist spot and it will take a few days to get there from where they’ll dock off the ship. There’s no specific time the party needs to return the bone to the excavation team. Head Archaeologist - Bolan - Hilda has dirt on this man and is able to blackmail him. She wanted to use the same tactics that were used in the past to get what she wants in terms of “pirating.” Though she will re-evaluate her methods in the future. The party reassures her they are still with her until the end. The bones don’t belong to the Church. She believes the Church has too many holds on good people. Hilda is willing to make this decision if it means saving people. “We don’t need to bend a knee to them all the time.” The ship is going to be studying it and then going to be attaching it to the ship. The excavation crew who the party is getting the bone from is not aware of the intentions the ship plans to do with the bone… Excalibur and Torren want to write a contract regarding the situation to try and make the best of the situation. They want to go talk to Octavian regarding the logistics.

The party will leave to do this mission in the morning. Torren stays behind to speak with Hilda: He tells her not to apologize. She’s being pragmatic in her decisions. Torren believes in her and he guesses the party isn’t used to what Hilda does. Hilda is ride or die Hilda doesn’t want to earn money in a bad way. Hilda’s father is in parliament - Bolan worked with some opposition to some of his ideas. He was a part of a group that did a lot of things to her family that they never fully recovered from. Although Hilda doesn’t get along with her father, he’s a good person. In this group Bolan is a part of, they went against her father to make him a bad person. Bolan got to this position for a reason…

[During the Afternoon] Jasiri goes to visit Tobias. He asks where Jasiri has been. Jasiri provides him with the chess set to keep him entertained during his confinement. Tobias asks how long he’s going to stay on the ship. Jasiri says the crew hasn’t spoken about the city they’ll be dropping him off. Jasiri says he’s been asked to do something wrong for the right reasons. He asks when Tobias was in that village as the captain of the guard, doing what he did to get here… Did he have a similar feeling? He supposed he did. He capitalized on the system that was designed poorly and did something selfish because he was afraid. He didn’t want to hurt those people - he didn’t think the wolves would do anything to hurt them considering the amount of guards to protect them. He’d be gone and somewhere safe with the funds obtained. It’s all on perspective. Tobias offers to play chess with Jasiri and teaches him how to play. He plays for an hour or so with Jasiri. Schmead spends his afternoon reflecting the light within the vents and hangs the talisman that Hazel made and watches it reflect the light. <3

NOVA informs the party of the issue with the elevator in the ship. Assembling with the group - the elevator has been broken since the journey started. The elevator is supposed to go to the observation deck.

Hazel turns into a spider and crawls through the gaps to see what the problem is. She sees some wedged metal and she pops it out of place, allowing the party to now use the observation deck.

Excalibur manages to find a button that opens the windows though the glass is broken and the group closes it for now. There are three notable things: a drawn schematic of the ship A Datapad - Excalibur recognizes it for fixing tech - though non-functioning. Excalibur offers the Datapad to Hermann to look into. The papers have drawings on them along with text in an unfamiliar language. The drawings are of dragons. The text indicates the different types of dragons that were known at some point - their elemental affinities and what to look out for. There are five in particular. It has them listed as dragons to watch out for - the Royal Dragons. Hazel offers to translate the documents to add to the library.

Excalibur saw every colour of dragon in his vision. Though bigger ones, smaller ones, etc. None of them gave the impression they were the leader though. Tobias asks what is up there - Jasiri responds with the fountain of life and mounds of gold.

The party talks about Tobias once again - reflecting on the jobs the party has been taking. They try to figure out if being on the ship is the right place to serve his sentence. Hazel asks using Augury to ask and she feels Weal. Torren is not happy about the decision and returns to his bunk. Excalibur, Hazel, Schmead go to talk to Hilda about the decision. Hilda asks why and the party informs her they’ve given him something to hold onto rather than go to the life of crime he did before. She agrees and is okay with it on a provisional basis. Hilda was crying before the crew arrived - Schmead overhears (“Natural.. 20 🙁”) Jasiri goes back to talk to Tobias to inform him of his news. When asked why the change of heart, Jasiri explains the conversation earlier helped with the decision. Tobias agrees and says he’ll work in the kitchen - promising to leave the rocks out. “Fuck around and you’ll find yourself back in here.. Or he’ll take the chess board/NO DATAPAD FOR YOU!~”

[The Next Day] Jasiri spends his morning getting Tobias ready for the kitchen. Breakfast Stew // NO MORE ARTISANAL ROCKS - ONLY TWO BOWLS OF ROCKS - ONE FOR KAZIM AND ONE FOR TORREN //
Hazel offers to Excalibur to go get Torren with a tea she made. They eat breakfast in the library today instead. William arrives in the library and asks if Hazel knew if “Wild Vines” was a sex book. She says the ending is truly great. The three of them discover William doesn’t like the things his father does for work. Hazel suggests he becomes the librarian/scribe of the ship.

The party gets into the docking bay and prepares to board the new travel boat. Vaelyn takes the instruction on how to run the boat and its functions. Hilda looks over the contract that Excalibur and Torren put together with Octavian the night prior. Hermann asks the party to wear some parachutes before getting into the ship…

NOTE: Vaelyn has been here the whole time. Quiet and brooding lol
