Chapter 3-5
Bolan and the party are introduced to each other.
The party asks about the heart and he claims the heart has been dormant. Bolan and his team have been doing experiments on it but in the last few they tried something new, causing a reaction. It started working and creatures spawned from the heart. Titan spawns appeared when the heart was threatened and prevented the scientists from turning the power off. Different elements cause reactions - In order to stop the current situation, the party needs to shut off the power. Combination of radiant, necrotic, latent world energy from the rock when channeled through the stone activated it. The stone was brought from an old intern a while ago who thought it might work on the experiments. They only recruit people from the Arcanum. The other piece of the heart is in the Arcanum in Caius. Tiny pieces may be in the main building within the city. The giants are trying to get to Ciaus through the park to obtain the other piece of the heart.
Jasiri mentions Hilda and threatens the team not to leave the room. They agree but if the way is clear then they will leave but they learn the giants are still out there.
Torren reaches into his bag and pulls out the plaque - wanting answers. They don’t recognize it. The park will sometimes use the lab as storage - there was a statue in the canon where the plaque came from.
[The party heads towards the power source] There’s a strange projector in the power room portraying a visual of the heart. Excalibur looks around the room and is able to shut down the forcefield.
While exploring through the final area of the lab, the party discovers spectre in the backrooms. ROLL FOR INITIATIVE.
The party defeats the creature and continues to search for the power source. Vaelyn looks for any useful loot and discovers a knife in the room is coated with the substance from the titan heart. The party discovers old research papers and research notes - Excalibur notes they all have Bolan’s name except for Maxum Stormhammer. Dwarves pick their own last name and Stormhammer was Hilda’s previous name before she changed it. The date the experiments conducted took place was actually done months ago and did not happen a few days ago. The combination of experiments was used a few months ago and then he used it again a few weeks ago when the giants showed up. Monsters didn’t come up until this particular time. The party finds the code to the combination in the room where the world rock is located. Torren finds a bottomless jug (alchemy jug). The party discovers a spellbook in a scientist’s locker.
Returning back to the room with the world energy stone, the party notices a resemblance with the stone looking like the titan spawn core but it’s not the same. They are not the same but they’re dissimilar.
The party suggests taking the rock considering the experiments here have caused issues and a lot of people are getting hurt. A conflict issue regarding the rock arises and Hazel offers to hold onto it.
Jasiri questions the morality of this choice claiming the party has no right to insult Hilda for her actions if they do this.

[To Shut Off the Power]
Torren, Excalibur, and Hazel remain in the main room and wait. Schmead monitors the hallway to ensure Bolan doesn’t leave. Vaelyn and Jasiri go to shut off the power. Once they shut it off, the rest in the main room hear a strange groaning from the darkness within the room and more titan spawn appear. Roll for Initiative. Fought a Phase Giant???
The battle ensues and many of the party members fall during battle. Eventually, Vaelyn gives the killing blow to the largest titan spawn and stabs it through. He absorbs the darkness, sealing his wounds.
Rushing to Jasiri’s side, Hazel transforms into a wolf and grabs Schmead. Schmead is able to apply cure wounds to Jasiri and saves his life.
The party feels a strange pull towards the heart and unable to control themselves, everyone touches the heart. Everyone’s eyes fall white and are brought into a strange vision.
The party sees a field under a large moon and sea of stars. They all see an eternal form of Gigas. He asks who they are and everyone has a different answer - Hazel answers they’re children of Terranea. Gigas asks what they want and everyone gives an answer that Gigas would know if they were lying. Hazel begins to witness a vision - A singular tower and a stone wall holding a sword manifests in her mind and asks “Free me..”
The vision fades and everyone is brought back to the lab room and watch as the magic seeps from the heart around everyone’s hands, forming a black circle tattoo around their middle finger and the remaining energy surges into Hazel’s chest. She feels the weight of the Titan within her, receiving one point of exhaustion.
